2002-05 Consultant. Performed evaluations for various clients in support of acquisitions in the Gulf of Mexico and Gulf Coast areas. Wrote and published the text "The Acquisition and Divestiture of Petroleum Property" which discusses the tactics, strategies, evaluations and processes used by successful companies when buying and selling petroleum property. Taught seminars on the methodology of making prudent acquisitions and divestitures while discussing current trends in the industry

James w. Haag
1975-01 Texaco, Inc., New Orleans, Louisiana. As Senior Evaluations Coordinator and Business Development Manager, Jim performed and directed in-house and third party reserves and economic analyses for property purchases, trades and sales in the Gulf of Mexico and Gulf Coast areas. For acquisitions, he supervised risk assessment and bid analysis, led data room teams and synthesized the efforts of the engineering, geological, land, operations and fiscal team representatives. He set marketing strategies and coordinated the evaluation and approval process for divestment packages. Previously he performed feasibility determinations for offshore developments, enhanced recovery and new pipeline projects, exploitation and development drilling locations, joint ventures and alternate funding opportunities. He wrote manuals for and taught in-house economics and risk analysis schools, and has six patents that were developed to improve field operations.
