We continue our reservoir studies in Venezuela. ProJeito, with a presence in Mexico and Venezuela, has been appointed our agent for Latin America. David Casas 011/5289 24 21 91.
We completed a reservoir study on a complex carbonate field in New Mexico using 3-D visualization techniques we developed. Results of this study were published in World Oil. Our inexpensive 3-D Visualization techniques can be used for visualizing any form of X Y Z data at a fraction of the cost of traditional methods.
We recently completed field screening studies using in-house software to evaluate requirements for additional field development. Call Patrick Lowry 214/987-1042.
Scotia is currently pursuing a major West African State Oil Company to provide subsurface advisory services in support of improved exploration. This is another example of the role of multi-disciplinary teamwork for the industry.
Scotia engineers are assisting several clients evaluating acquisition opportunities, working directly with in-house evaluation teams.

Scotia has completed a study of 35 wells producing from various sands in the Delaware Group in southeastern New Mexico. This project involved the computer aided analysis of available log data and the compilation of completion and test data which were annotated on the interpretation log plots. Completion practices of the former operator made it difficult to know the contribution of the various sands to the total production volume. Statistical analysis and mapping of hydrocarbon pore volume of all pay sands in the Delaware assisted the operator in allocating production. Also, by linking databases containing the log based pay and perforation information, uncompleted pay opportunities were identified. Our client is currently moving forward with the selection of recompletion and new drill opportunities assisted by our recommendations.
