South of the Border

In association with the Bureau of Economic Geology (BEG), Pinnacle Technologies & Interpretation, Scotia was appointed subsurface advisor by Pemex for the Burgos Basin. This multi-disciplined project represents a significant step forward for the group in terms of opening new opportunities in association with other specialized groups.

Technology Impacts & Reserves Growth

Let us help you to reverse or arrest natural production decline in your large oil & gas fields, with our in-house screening software system, RESWIZ. Call and ask about our seminars on this phenomenon. Jim Merkel, 214/987-1042.

Further South of the Border

After a short pause, we continue our reservoir studies in Venezuela. ProJeito, with a presence in Mexico and Venezuela, has been appointed our agent for Latin America. David Casas 011/5289 24 21 91.

Data Visualization

We have recently completed a reservoir study on a complex carbonate oil field in New Mexico. Inexpensive 3-D visualization techniques were developed to aid in identifying flow units. These techniques can be used for visualizing any form of XYZ data at a fraction of the cost of traditional methods.

More Acquisitions

Scotia engineers are assisting several clients evaluating acquisition opportunities, working directly with in-house evaluation teams.

No Asian Flu?

A comprehensive worldwide reserves application study was recently completed for a southeast Asian national oil company.

Coming to the Party?

We have been recently involved in a comprehensive review of the technical and commercial merits of the deep water GOM for a major European Player. Efforts are ongoing.

Strategic Alliances

As an extension to the Pemex project, Scotia is committed to offer strategic alliances to industry. Ongoing contractual arrangements are in place with the BEG, Pinnacle Technologies and Interpretation allowing the group to offer not only a greater range of services, but substantial man power availability.
