Reserve Analysis & Property Valuation

The bread and butter of an oil and gas advisory group is the estimation of reserves, future production forecasts and estimated future economic performance. We continue to provide estimates of reserves to large and small oil companies, to potential investors, to lending institutions, and to service groups requiring reserves as a basis for planning, financial statements, and so on. As part of these efforts, we have evaluated waterfloods, enhanced oil recovery projects, mature onshore North American properties through to newly discovered fields in the UK North Sea and other major petroleum provinces throughout the world.

Typical Projects

In support of an LNG facility, we completed the evaluation of a significant gas discovery offshore Trinidad for the National Oil Company.

We evaluated the remaining reserves for a client's holdings in Colombia incorporating the design of an optimum future development plan for as yet untapped reserves.

An in-depth evaluation was completed of a major oil company's development of a North Sea oilfield including the basis for field unitizations.

While PDP reserves provide the current income base, company growth depends on exploitation of lower confidence reserves categories. Our studies routinely seek to quantify such PUD, probable and possible reserves to assist exploitation planning.

We provided evaluation material for the first horizontal well drilled in Australia. Evaluation of horizontal drilling opportunities continues for several clients.

Reserve updates for various clients with properties located in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Mississippi, New Mexico, and in offshore Gulf of Mexico are routinely maintained.
