The animation on this page includes 17 east to west cross sections of porosity in a vuggy carbonate reservoir. The cross sections are approximately coincident with the rows of wells. The map on this page shows the location of the cross sections.
Wells plotted along these cross sections include the perforation intervals. These sections aid in the identification of common flow units, un-perforated intervals, and possible intervals for injection of fluids for improved oil recovery. Like the plan view slices, Scotia's software allows the users to cursor back and forth through the cross sections.
