Much of our work hinges on an ability to have available large amounts of data that can be rapidly manipulated to meet the needs of project evaluation. We have developed systems to retrieve data from most publicly available data sources, on-line or via tape transfer, and to automatically load such data into database formats that interface directly with applications software.

Historical production database and performance analysis software linking to cash flow analysis. Includes screen interactive rate-time, rate-cum, P/Z-cum, WOR-cum, and Fetkovich type-curve projection capability, automatic cash flow file generation, and extensive summation options. Production projection database developed in association with Petroleum Information Corporation. Performs automatic performance estimates calibrated against 160,000 wells to provide EURs, reserve growth quantification, and other input to statistical and strategic studies. Documents over 5,000 mergers and acquisitions with over 3,000 companies listed. Available for free download.

International Strategic Planning Model cash flow software. Incorporates complexities of over 50 different international fiscal regimes, handles consolidations as well as U.S. and foreign tax including re-assessment. Available on a service basis only.

Scotia has developed a number of probabilistic reserve evaluation simulators covering volumetrics, decline curves, coalbed methane, and horizontal well productivity index.

Enhanced oil recovery screening model and database. Evaluates the suitability of various EOR techniques as a precursor to detailed modeling and simulation. Available on a service basis only.

Statistical reserves growth quantification model. Documents historical trends in reserves added and basic economics on a field, play or basin level. This model is routinely used to estimate potential upside in property acquisitions. Available on a service basis only.
